Hello

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, author, trainer, and community activist with a passion for community well-being deeply rooted in a framework of social justice and resilience-building.

Mental Health:

Utilizing culturally responsive, evidence-based approaches, I conduct trainings and provide consultation to mental health providers. I have extensive experience serving people managing psychotic spectrum disorders, including those dealing with problematic drug use, individuals with severe emotion regulation issues and self-harm behaviors, and communities impacted by incarceration. I have particular interest in working with the LBGTQIA+ community with an emphasis on the transgender and nonbinary community, and have a strong commitment to integrating intersectionality and anti-racism in all aspects of my clinical work and training.

I've worked as a provider of individual and group therapy, client advocacy, and clinical case management services for racially and economically diverse populations in settings such as non-profits, health care companies, prisons, and county agencies.

Community Activism:

My roots are in advocacy and nonviolent direct action for environmental sustainability, gender justice, and immigrant rights. This experience continues to shape my work, helping me understand how systems, institutions, and communities influence my clients' lives. I pay close attention to how intersecting identities shape each person's experiences and the barriers and strengths they encounter. Across all areas of my work, I draw on anti-oppressive frameworks that recognize the impact of social, political, and cultural contexts on mental health and healing.

I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in the SF Bay Area for the last twenty years. I identify as a white, European-American, sex-positive, queer & nonbinary person. I use they/them pronouns.
